【Tokachi Hills】Celebrate Summer Surrounded by Roses│Makubetsu Town

The season of roses is back!
During Rose Week at Tokachi Hills, around 800 rose bushes representing 35 different varieties bloom all at once, offering a stunning display of color and fragrance.
From buds just beginning to open to petals sparkling with morning dew, and soft scents drifting on the breeze—this is a garden that delights all five senses.
Special seasonal events, including the serene “Morning Rose Garden,” await you among the blossoms.

Highlights & Events During Rose Week

  • Morning Rose Garden (July 4, 5, 11, 12)
    Enjoy the soft fragrances and peaceful garden atmosphere from 8:00 AM. A limited number of special tea sets are available.
  • Rose Aroma Quiz
    Test your nose! Can you distinguish citrus, spicy, and sweet floral scents? Discover nature’s aromatherapy.
  • ROSE Photo Contest
    Capture a perfect moment with your favorite bloom and share it on Instagram! Use the hashtag #2025TokachiHillsRoseWeek to enter.
  • NIWAKARA Exclusive Sweets
    Only during Rose Week, enjoy the rose-shaped apple pie made from red-tinted apples—a beautiful and delicious treat.
  • Giant Maze × Puzzle Challenge (Starting July 3)
    The newly redesigned Umbrella Sky area becomes a fun summer maze and puzzle-solving zone!
